The Autopot AquaBox is a useful tool to keep plants watered that are growing directly in soil. You bury it in the ground with the lid showing (for access) and the Aquavalve sits inside. Capillary Matting runs from the box through the soil beneath or between the plants, where it distributes water constantly.
The AquaBox connects to a water tank to ensure there is always a ready supply of water to the plants. Each Capillary Mat slowly wicks water from the box and into the soil, so it never dries out, but is never too wet. Plant roots will naturally make their way down to the source of water and will attach themselves around the matting. By always having access to water, the plant can thrive in the reliable, favourable conditions.
