Potassium is one of the macro elements and is essential to the proper blooming of plants. Keeping a good supply in the nutrient tank will ensure you get a good quantity and quality of harvest. It also strengthens cell walls which improves resistance to pathogen attack. As well as a bloom boost, Mono Potassium helps in the production of carbohydrates and proteins. It also helps move water around the plant, keeping a good level of hydration. Mono Potassium is an organic product and so is suitable for use alongside organic regimes. It is not suitable for mixing with magnesium and calcium additives.
Mono Potassium application
- To be applied as a potassium fertiliser, amongst others, in the case of a potassium deficiency.
- As a supplementary remedy to stimulate the bloom.
Dosage
Dilute 10-20 ml concentrate per 10 litre of water (1:1000/1:500).
Warning
A good fertiliser contains all essential elements in the correct proportions. An overdose of potassium can result in calcium and magnesium deficiencies and in acidification of the root environment. Therefore, proceed with caution when determining the dose; an overdose could be harmful to the plant! Always be sure you are treating the correct deficiency! If you get it wrong, it can cause further problems. You can find all the rest of the Canna Products on our website, here.
