Clonex Rooting Gel from Growth Technology promotes root growth in softwood and semi-hardwood cuttings. It contains a full profile of nutrients and trace elements to accelerate early plant development. Clonex is in use globally to help growers take cuttings with a high rate of success. Clonex is a gel that clings to fresh cuttings, sealing the cut plant tissue and providing the clone with hormones that promote root cell development and well as vitamins to protect it from the risk of infection.
Professionals use Clonex because:
- It seals cut tissue instantly, eliminating the risk of infection or embolism.
- Clonex contains rooting hormone at 3000 parts per million, the full strength required for explosive root development.
- It contains a full profile of nutrients and trace elements to nourish and empower the new plants
- It is a gel – far safer than liquids or powders because it cannot splash or blow about.
Unlike liquids and powders, Clonex will remain in contact with the stem right through the rooting period. Directions for use: Take shoot, stem or leaf cuttings from actively growing plants, without flowers, and immediately dip the base of each cutting into the gel to a depth of 10-20 mm, then place the cutting in a propagation medium. Keep the growing medium and plant cutting in humid conditions until plant has rooted. We suggest using a propagator for this task, and advise using a propagator heat mat in colder months. Always pour a little out into a clean, sterile pot before using and discard after use. This eliminates the possibility of pathogens making it into the bottle and so keeping it clean.
