Plant Magic Oldtimer Organic PK 4-8 is a potassium and phosphorus additive that comes from organic sources. The vast majority of potassium and phosphorus additives are not organic and so are no use to organic gardeners. During flowering, plants need far more of these macro elements to fuel profuse blooming. By adding extra potassium and phosphorus the plant can produce bigger, tastier fruits with higher sugar content. Your plants will have more energy to keep up the high level of growth without adding unnecessary chemicals.
Why is the ratio of PK in Oldtimer Organic PK lower than other brands?
The ratio of 4-8 is what Plant Magic believe is the best for the type of nutrient it is. Many other brands do use much higher levels which, depending on your school of thought, may or may not be useful. Some research suggests that high PK levels in feeds is a result of agricultural research and is irrelevant for indoor cultivation. Outdoors, elements can leach out of soil quickly, so high amounts become part of nutrient recipes. Indoors, in pots, these elements have nowhere to disappear to and so remain in the pot until the roots find them. Therefore a lower amount of potassium and phosphorus is more suitable for this situation.
Again, this depends on who you ask. Many believe that very high PK levels allow the plant ample supply of nutrition and it’ll only take what it needs. One thing is for sure, having an organic PK is better than having no PK at all!

Using Plant Magic Oldtimer Organic PK
Shake bottles well before use to make sure there is no settling of ingredients. As with all nutrients, be sure to add each to the reservoir one at a time, stirring well. Never mix concentrates together as it can cause issues with the ingredients and may lead to deficiencies. Dose rate is between 1 – 2ml per litre, depending on which stage you’re using it.
