The Alien Systems Silver 50mm Dual Flow Elbow is available for when the original part is lost or sustains damage. These custom pieces have a unique design that allows the system to completely drain away between waterings. The Alien Systems Silver 50mm Dual Flow Elbow is one of the upgrade pieces from the Black Series.
How does the Alien Rain Silver Series work?
When the system is on, water pumps to the Rain tray on the top of each pot. These trays have multiple holes across the surface through which the water drips onto the media. As it covers the whole surface, there are no dry spots and no over wet areas. Plant roots can then use the entire volume of media, rather than just where a dripper is (for example). The volume of water that runs through the media is high, flushing away the old nutrient and water, replacing it with new. Your plants will have the freshest water and nutrients possible with every feeding. As the media dries, it does so uniformly too, further improving the root zone conditions and making for a more reliable and stable grow.
The Alien Rain Silver Series system is highly versatile! You can use it with soil, coco, clay pebbles or any other media you want. Simply adjust the times between dosing to suit the drainage capacity of the substrate. The Rain System can also be set up as a recirculating system, or a run to waste, further increasing your options. The Silver Series is the professional kit, but Alien also offer a Black series, which is the standard version.
How does the Alien Aero Series work?
The Alien Aero System is a top quality aeroponics kit for serious growers. In the Aero system, plant roots hang suspended in the air from a net pot in the top of the pot. Sprinkler heads spray water and nutrients from multiple directions on to the roots either in intervals or constantly. This high level of water, food and oxygen supercharges the root system and causes explosive growth. There is no media at all in the bulk of the pot, so roots meet no resistance in growing, speeding development. As an additional benefit, cropping and harvesting plants becomes much easier with no soil or coco to deal with. It’s a much cleaner process!
The Alien Aero System has many features that give it an advantage over other systems. A grid system at the bottom of each net pot helps stop oversaturation of the media within, staving off root rot and damping off. The wide drainage channels funnel water away quickly and keep the system from blocking up. You can set the drainage system up as a recirculating system or a run to waste, whichever suits your needs. Each pot has a drain cover too to stop root ingress into the pipework. As a closed loop aeroponics system, growers can use up to 95% less water than traditional soil growing, while maintaining very rapid plant growth.
