Taking care of your pH meter is very important if you want to keep getting accurate readings. They are precision instruments and accumulations of salts and dirt can reduce their life span. PH Probe Cleaner is the ideal products for keeping delicate probes clean. It is a mild enough detergent to not cause damage while still being an effective cleaner. If you are using a pH meter, this will remove deposits on any brand you may have which keeps it giving accurate readings. To use pH Probe Cleaner, pour a little into a container and place the end of the meter in it. Ensure you submerge the end completely and leave it for 24 hours to remove any deposits. Throw away any solution after use and do not re-use!
Why is it so important to keep my pH meter clean with pH Probe Cleaner?
PH level is important if you want to get the most out of your grow. This is particularly true if you are using a hydroponic system. Most plants perform best when the pH level is about 5.8 to 6.2. At this acidity there is the highest level of absorption of elements across the board. Some elements absorb slightly better in more acidic condition and some in more alkali conditions. 5.8 to 6.2 is kind of a middle ground that offers the best trade off and it is here most growers aim for. Accurate calibration is important if you want to make the most of measuring pH.
