Piranha from Advanced Nutrients is an additive consisting of broad range of beneficial fungi. These work with the roots to create an amazing environment for them to thrive and grow huge. They encourage the plant to develop a root mass with an enormous surface area for drawing up nutrients. Beneficial fungi help the roots absorb more oxygen, water and the elements it needs for growth. They also assist the plant in the production of essential oils, which are all build the fruits aromas and flavours. So if you get the right fungi, yield size and quality can get a huge boost!
Luckily, Advanced Nutrients know what they are doing. They hire top scientists to work on their products and research into what works best. They have come up with a group of “Super strains” of fungi that massively boost the root zone performance once they get going. There are 2 types of fungi in Piranha – one that covers the root surface and the other that penetrates it, working from within. They combine together to create a vast colony of threads that interweave throughout the media, bestowing their benefits all over.
Why is Piranha so special?
Many suppliers of fungal additives outsource their products that are grown in vast numbers in the same conditions. The strains that are present in Piranha are made in house by their own people and grow in the most optimum way, specific to each one. This means only the top quality make it into the bottle and so int your nutrient mix. You may think that the price of Piranha is quite high, but the benefits you’ll get from the fungi is worth the outlay. Please note that we may need to order Piranha in as you need as it does have a shelf life and we want to supply it as fresh as possible.
There is loads more information on the Advanced Nutrients Website (clicking opens a new window). You can also use their Nutrient Calculator which is very handy for giving you a tailored grow schedule.
