The Alien Rain System Lid Clip is available in case the original sustains damage or is lost. It secures the water feed line to the lad and ensures the water flows at the right angle. The Alien Rain System Lid Clip should only be used with the Black System. The Silver System has its own version.

How does the Alien Rain System work?

When the system is on, water pumps to the Rain tray on the top of each pot. These trays have multiple holes across the surface through which the water drips onto the media. As it covers the whole surface, there are no dry spots and no over wet areas. Plant roots can then use the entire volume of media, rather than just where a dripper is (for example). The volume of water that runs through the media is high, flushing away the old nutrient and water, replacing it with new. Your plants will have the freshest water and nutrients possible with every feeding. As the media dries, it does so uniformly too, further improving the root zone conditions and making for a more reliable and stable grow.

The Alien Rain 30L Black Series system is highly versatile! You can use it with soil, coco, clay pebbles or any other media you want. Simply adjust the times between dosing to suit the drainage capacity of the substrate. The Rain System can also be set up as a recirculating system, or a run to waste, further increasing your options. The Black Series is the standard kit, but Alien also offer a Silver series, which is the Pro version. Upgrades include wider pipes, reflective materials to reduce heat, copper drains to prevent root ingress and other specialised parts. There is loads more info about the Rain Systems on the Alien Hydroponics website. (Link opens a new window).
