The Alien Systems 1″ Filter is available should an original sustain damage or be lost. The filter sits in inline with water flowing over it whenever pumps are in action. Inside the filter is a fine mesh which captures particles and debris which could eventually cause issues with the system. This might be an accumulation of detritus, blocking up pipe work. It could gum working parts up in water pumps, or it could become a breeding ground for nasty microbes.
The Alien Systems 1″ Filter comes with fittings on either end for quick installation. To clean, simply unscrew when the pipe is empty, rinse under running water and replace. Always check for damage or any other problems before reassembly. These filters are also great if you are looking to custom build your own system, as are all of the Alien pipework and components.
