Ducting Clips are an adjustable steel band that the user tightens with a screw. Most people generally know this kind of fitting as a Jubilee Clip which is often in the plumbers tool box. The premise is the same just on a bigger scale to suit ducting, not water pipes. The worm gear that adjusts the tightness allows a secure connection between ducting and fans or carbon filters. The Ducting Clips have a quick release mechanism which makes operation a little easier. If you were to use the whole thread to do the job, it would take some time to do! By using the quick release, you can pull the clip tightly by hand, set the release back onto the thread and tighten the rest with a screwdriver. Doing the same in reverse makes removing it easy too.

Ducting Clips are available in a few different sizes to suit all ducting sizes available at Canterbury Hydroponics. They are an efficient, cost effective method of joining ventilation equipment in the grow room.

What are the alternatives to the Ducting Clips?

Many growers use ducting clips in combination with a tape for an extra secure fitting. The tape has a bigger surface area for joining and can go round and round as many times as you want. It can degrade after a while though so the Ducting Clip will increase holding power of the join. Our tape options are Cloth Duct Tape, Foil Duct Tape and X-Weave Tape. At Canterbury Hydroponics, we also stock the A.V Clip which stands for Anti Vibration (or Fast Clamp as some call it). These are wider straps of metal with a neoprene lining. These join and tighten with 2 strong bolts for a very strong connection. The neoprene helps dampen any vibration that may occur. You can find all of these products on our website by clicking here.
