When you purchase a Rhino Pro Carbon Filter, you get a Filter Sleeve in the box. These sit on the outside of the filter, catching large dust particles that might otherwise clog the carbon bed. This would reduce its effectiveness and so lower the life span of the filter. The Rhino Pro Replacement Filter Sleeve is a direct replacement for this, when the first one needs changing.

When using a filter sleeve, it is possible to remove it and give it a bit of a whack to remove dust. It is always best to do this outside, away from the grow area to avoid all the mess on your plants. There is a limit to how often you can do this, as the sleeve becomes more and more grubby with set in stains. In this situation, a Rhino Pro Replacement Filter Sleeve is what you need! They are available in all the usual filter sizes and for the really big filters, we can easily order what you need.

Many growers use their Rhino fiter in reverse, blowing through the filter rather than sucking though it. Without a filter sleeve, there is a greater chance that carbon dust can blow around. The filter sleeve will capture these particles and trap them.

Can I use a filter without getting a Rhino Pro Replacement Filter Sleeve?

While there is nothing stopping you from using a filter without a sleeve, the filter can suffer as a result. By using a sleeve, things will be cleaner and more efficient in your grow room and ventilation system. At Canterbury Hydroponics, we have a range of equipment to help with air flow and ventilation in the grow room. To see what we have available, please click on this link.
