The CarboAir 50 Filter 100 x 330 has a design that efficiently removes VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) from the grow room. Each filter is built by hand in Europe and uses a 50mm bed of virgin activated granular carbon. While this is a standard size bed in many filters, it is actually the smallest in the CarboAir range. They also make filters with 60mm beds and some larger sizes with an enormous 100mm bed for extra reassurance. The carbon itself activates at over 1000 degrees Celsius, which really opens the pores for incredibly high absorption rates.
A CarboAir filter with 50mm carbon bed is perfect for most grow requirements as the carbon bed is thick enough to capture all odours. Each filter comes complete with a machine washable pre-filter for getting rid of larger particulates. Using the highest quality materials allows for a finer mesh. It is 55.5% “open” and lets through more air, meaning more filtration. Under optimal conditions, these filters should last around 18 months. Please be aware that damp conditions can reduce the lifespan of any carbon filter, as the carbon clogs up with water vapour.
