The Mist Maker 3 Float holds the Mist Maker 3 unit at the optimum depth in water for maximum efficiency. At this depth, just the right amount of water hits the plates, becomes mist and has no issues flowing away. You can get the Mist Maker 3 Float on its own if you already have the unit, or you can get a Mist Maker 3 and Float kit.
About the Mist Maker
The Mist Maker is a great way of increasing the humidity in your room, right up to 100%. The powerful and compact units use ultrasonic vibrating plates to create a mist of very fine droplets. This is highly beneficial to young plants; especially cuttings. Cuttings and seedlings do not have big root systems with which to draw up moisture. As water is lost through the leaves, the plant can quickly suffer so high humidity is a must. By ensuring there is a mist around them, there is no danger of the plants drying out. Mist Maker units are also great for use throughout the vegging cycle to enhance growth. Be sure to turn it off when the flowers develop as damp flowers will quickly lead to bud rot!
Mist Makers require no wiring and plug straight into the wall using a standard UK plug. You can also use them with a suitably rated timer to give periodic misting. The specially coated plates require less changing than cheaper versions but please be aware that they will need replacing at some point. The unit begins working as soon as power is on and each set of plates should last up to 2000 hours. Replacement plates are available on our website, here. RO water is best for plates and plants as it’s free of minerals that can accumulate and cause issues.
